Fall Scrimmage Photos

Attended the Fall Scrimmage on Saturday and got some great photos with my new long lens. Should make for some great pics this season. Can't wait for it to start.

Have to miss the Arizona game but hopefully I can get someone to take some photos for me.

GO BEAVERS!

A Great Day in Corvallis

Saturday was as close to a perfect day in Beaverland as one could ask for. About the only thing that might have made it better was to win (my team not the Beavers)

You see Saturday I played, along with my brother and two great beaver friends of mine in the 24th Annual Paul Valenti Varisty O Golf Scrimmage at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis.

The course was in great shape and the weather was near perfect for a round of golf in August. We did not win but we had a great time of fellowship with other Beaver Believers. I did manage to capture the long drive award on 16, a good consolation prize for it would have been fun even without that.

After that my brother and I went over to watch the Football Scrimmage for a couple hours. There was a pretty good crowd at the scrimmage that was into the game and the players responded with some pretty exciting plays. The defense looked pretty solid and I am not as worried about it as I was before the game. The offense, even without the Rogers brothers playing look like with time they will gel into a good group. I am more excited for the start of football now.

After the game we attended the 50 yard line reception and dinner in the club level of Reser. We had the honor of having Keanon Kristick and Ryan Gunderson sitting at our table. Both were very well spoken and represented the football program well. The evening was MC'd by Mike Parker and coaching staff and several players spoke at the nearly 5 hour event.

What a great day to be a beaver! A photo is on the website.

One Month To Football Season!

One Month to Football !
Hip, Hip, Hooray!

It's less then one month before the 2009 Oregon State University Football Season begins and I am pretty excited for another season to start. And this season I have another reason to be excited about the start of another school year at OSU. My oldest daughter will be a freshman at OSU this year and I am a very proud papa. Recently found out that the entire freshman football team is in her dorm so you players had better behave yourself. I was a student there once so I know how it goes. Don't want to have to send my buddy "Sal" down to send a message.

Won't be able to attend the Arizona home game this year as I have to go with the wife on a corporate trip for her work so I will have to recruit someone to get photos for me. Perhaps my brother can do that for me. I will have to attend the WSU game in Pullman this season to make up for the lack of one game at home. I also am thinking of flying down for the ASU game in Tempe and getting in some golf at the same time. A good friend just moved there so he should know the good courses to go play.

I have a new camera lens this season so hope to get even more amazing photos from games and around campus. Also looking to get a better low light lens before basketball season for great indoor shots.

I will have more in a few days on the 2009 schedule and my thoughts on how the Beavers will do this season and where the potholes might be.
