BRING ON THE DUCKS BEAVERS WIN 42-10

The game started well with the Beavers going up 21-3 on the Cougars but they hit the skids late in the second quarter and it took the Beavers nearly a full quarter to get back on track. But they did behind a solid game by Canfield 22 of 29 231 yards .758 completion percentage. Quizz Rodgers had 24 carries for 165 yards as the Beavers shut out the Cougars in the second half and scored 21 points of their own to make the Civil War on Dec. 3rd the biggest game in Civil War history in the last 45 years. If the Ducks can beat Arizona tonight in Tucson the winner of the Civil War goes to the Rose Bowl.

For the second year in a row the Beavers go into the Civil War with a chance to go to the Rose Bowl. If we can pull off the upset in Eugene in 12 days it will be the party of the century in Corvallis and the State of Oregon. I will walk to Pasadena if I have to but if it happens and you are a reader of this blog, I will buy you a round of drinks in Pasadena.
